Kanye West Joins Twitter, Reveals Album Title Change

Kanye West is going to have to learn to keep his opinions to 140 characters or less. The hip-hop superstar has finally joined Twitter with the handle @kanyewest, after initially resisting the social-networking website that counts luminaries such as Oprah and President Barack Obama among its micro-bloggers. And although he's come to the Twitter game later than many celebs, the star has wasted no time getting his tweet count up.
The hip-hop star made his entry into the Twitterverse on Wednesday (July 28) with a status update about his business dealings: "Up early in the morning taking meetings in Silicone Valley." The MC later followed up with a cheeky correction to his original tweet, typing, "Lol I spelled Silicon wrong (I guess I was still thinking about the other type of silicone ITS A PROCESS!! : )."
After his inaugural tweet, the star typed more than a dozen messages in roughly two hours, and revealed that he is switching up the title of his next album, which is scheduled to hit stores in September. "The album is no longer called 'Good Ass Job,' " West tweeted. "I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now."
West followed up the LP update with a spate of shout-outs to media outlets that recently ran stories on Yeezy, including MTV News, which ran piece about his album preview at Facebook's headquarters.
The move to Twitter is an about-face for the star who famously took to his blog last year to deny that he was on the site after a rash of fraudulent accounts popped up.
"I don't have a f---ing Twitter... why would I use twitter??? I only blog 5 percent of what I'm up to in the first place. I'm actually slow delivering content because I'm too busy actually busy being creative most of the time and if I'm not and I'm just laying on a beach i wouldn't tell the world. Everything that Twitter offers I need less of. The people at Twitter know I don't have a f---ing Twitter so for them to allow someone to pose as me and accumulate over a million names is irresponsible and deceitful to [their] faithful users," West blogged in 2009.
Apparently, fans have been waiting for the Louis Vuitton Don to get on Twitter as West, at press time, had scored more than 55,000 followers during his first day on the site.

Chris Evans Says Playing Captain America Makes Him 'Nervous'

For most actors, one would think the idea of tackling the role of a famed superhero like Captain America would be the opportunity of a lifetime. An "easy yes," as they say in the biz. However, for the newly anointed star-spangled-superhero Chris Evans, the decision to take on the iconic character was a lot more complicated than simply saying yes or no to the part.
"No, it wasn't an easy yes," Evans told MTV News when he stopped by the MTV News/ MySpace Comic-Con livestream. "I get nervous. I get nervous in things like this [referring to interviews and public appearances]. Captain America means a lot of this."
Evans admitted that the decision was a particularly tough one because he was in a really happy place in his life and his career, and wasn't sure if he was ready to be catapulted into such a specific, fans-obsessing-over-every-detail-type spotlight. "[Playing] Captain America just changes things, and there's really no off switch once you walk down that road."
Evans went on to say, however, that his reservations don't in any way damper his excitement for making the film.
"There's nothing wrong with the project," Evans explained. "I love the people involved, the character, the script, Hugo [Weaving]. There was nothing wrong there, it was just about the lifestyle change and whether or not I was willing to do it."
Evans acknowledges the work he has cut out for him, but he's trying to get to a place where he can just enjoy himself.
"There's no turning back now," he said. "I'm just trying to make all the negatives positives and just enjoy the ride."

Mel Gibson Audio: Voice Mail Tirade
In a span of about five hours, no less than eight voice mails are left on Oksana's machine after the couple purportedly split.
In the recordings, Mel seems to acknowledge the split, saying, " If you want to call me back, I think we should discuss the terms of separation, don?t you? Don?t you think? Yes? Yes, let?s do it. I won?t smoke either, just to [expletive] with you. I want to really badly. You would love me to. Because you want to destroy me and see me die. I know subconsciously that is your whole [expletive] aim, is to ruin me. But I won?t let you. Alright. You selfish [expletive]."

Guillermo Del Toro Dishes On 'Haunted Mansion' Remake
Guillermo Del Toro

SAN DIEGO -- One of the biggest surprises at Comic-Con thus far came on Thursday during the Disney panel, when Guillermo del Toro came out and announced that he would be writing, producing and maybe directing a remake of "The Haunted Mansion."
Del Toro joked that they weren't returning Eddie Murphy's calls for this, referencing Murphy's 2003 comedy. He has been a lifelong fan of the Disneyland ride, and was collecting memorabilia from the ride before he even thought about making a film.
"For some people, it's just a ride, but for others like me, it's a way of life. We're serious fanatics. I'm a big, big collector of it. I've been collecting not only memorabilia but artifacts and original artifacts from the mansion for the past 10 years," he said. MTV's Josh Horowitz joked that del Toro could just use those to recreate the Mansion, but del Toro responded, "I'm going to use the budget of the film to create more props for my room."
At the Disney panel, del Toro announced that the Hat Box Ghost will be the main haunting in the film, and he elaborated about it to MTV News.
"It's such a great character that there's literally -- amongst Haunted Mansion fanatics, the hardcore ones -- a cult for the Hat Box Ghost. You can Google it, it's pretty intense, and I am one of them," he said. The legend around the ride's Hat Box Ghost was that it was "a beautiful creature" that was discarded on the first day of ride operation because they thought it was too scary. "The reality is that Imagineers could not make the illusion work, so they took it out," he said.
In terms of the plot, del Toro said Disney plans on taking the core mythology of the ride and are expanding it so there are many haunted mansions around the world. "They are all part of sort of a web and the spider sitting in the center of the web is what fans of the Haunted Mansion would know by the nickname the Hat Box Ghost," he elaborated.
Fans who are expecting to see a return to the 2003 film's tone will be surprised by del Toro's vision, he teased. "The movie I see in my head of 'Haunted Mansion' is not, I believe, what everyone is imagining it to be," he said. "It's not just a regular world with a haunted mansion plopped in the middle. I really am thinking of a movie that has a heightened reality."

2010 Comic-Con: Big Bang Theory
"The Big Bang Theory" kicks off on Thursdays for CBS this fall and the cast and crew headed to this year's Comic-Con to offer a sneak preview of the new season and to answer some questions from their growing fan base.
The panel began with the shows theme song being sung by the audience and the Bare Naked Ladies who made a surprise appearance. That was then followed by a Q & A moderated by the show's favorite guest star Wil Wheaton and attended by cast members Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Jim Parsons, Kunal Nayyar along with the show's producers Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.
Highlights from the discussion:
Each of the group was asked what brings out the inner geek in them: Kunal who plays Raj said 'Badminton', Simon, who plays Howard, answered "Accordian solos," Kaley, who plays Penny, got a round of applause for her answer, "The Bare Naked Ladies," Jim, who play Shledon, said he likes listening to talk radio, and Johnny, who plays Leonard said that what he geeks about is working and "True Blood."
When asked about how he relates to his character Leonard, Johnny said, "The relationship is frustrating. It's a "grass is always greener" kind of a feeling. He suffers a lot."
When asked about playing a character so unlike himself, (Parsons plays the quirky socially challenged Dr. Sheldon Cooper), the twice Emmy nominated actor said, "It's fulfilling because there's so much to do. And surprisingly easy because of the writing. It's right there."
Since the show is about a bunch of guys who would be Comic-Con attendees, naturally the producers were asked if there would ever be a Comic-Con episode. "It would be difficult since "Big Bang" is a four camera show," Bill Purdy said.
After the panel, the cast headed to the Warner Bros. booth on the convention floor for a signing.

Davis: 'Sex Sequel Chances Are Not Great'

Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has conceded fans are unlikely to see the series back on the big screen for a third time - because talk of another sequel is "not looking great".
The popular TV show was adapted into a movie in 2008 and this year saw the release of a follow-up.
But fans hoping for a third outing in the franchise may be disappointed - Davis is convinced scathing reviews from critics will discourage producers from making a third film.
When asked whether there will be another movie, she tells E! Online, "I don't think so, not that I know of. I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don't know. We made 300 million (dollars) internationally. There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down.
"I could be wrong. Obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know. But it is not looking great."
